EMDR
EMDR is a scientifically validated psychotherapeutic method focused on processing traumatic experiences through guided eye movements.
What is EMDR?
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) uses bilateral stimulation to unblock and process unprocessed memories in the brain. It helps reduce the emotional charge associated with past traumas and change negative self-beliefs. It is a comprehensive approach connecting physical sensations, emotions, and cognitive processes.
Who is this method for?
Effective processing of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) Faster relief from anxiety and phobias Transformation of negative thought and behavior patterns Increased emotional stability and resilience Improved self-esteem and self-worth perception
What to expect
During a session, the therapist guides you to focus on a traumatic memory while following their fingers or another stimulus providing alternating left-right stimulation. Gradually, the intensity of negative emotions weakens, and they are reframed into a neutral or positive perspective.
